Hovering over the festival activities is "Willie-Man-Chew", the world's largest mosquito. Willie is a 26 ft. Texas mosquito, complete with a cowboy hat, boots, blown up wings and a big stinger. Willie is a favorite of all festival visitors, and he makes a great photo souvenir. Willie also does festival promotions throughout the year at other events.
The Executive Swat Team and the Clute Parks & Recreation Department are preparing for the best event ever, with the celebration of our 29th Annual Great Texas Mosquito Festival, to be held at the Clute Municipal Park, Clute, Texas on July 23-25, 2009. This event has continued to grow and now draws over 18,000 festival patrons to our area each year. Our event offers Food, Arts & Craft Booths, Carnival, Numerous Contests, and Live Headliner Entertainment on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights. So Buzz on Down with the family for a good time in Clute, Texas!

*The winners of the Survey Drawing will receive $25.00 Cash + $10.00 Souvenir Coupon. There will be 1 Drawing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday.
**Willie-Man-Chew’s Treasure Chest will have 25 winners each day! Each evening between the hours of 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm the Brazoswood Gate will be handing out keys to each paid Adult ticket until the quota is met for the evening. There will be only 25 keys each evening that will open the treasure chest. So make sure you try your key to see if you have won. (250 keys on Thursday, 250 Keys on Friday, and 500 keys on Saturday)
