Annual Pumpkin Show Returns for Its 10th Year 2013
Celebrate Autumns Glory
Woodstown/New Jersey --The show dates are announced for the tenth annual South Jersey Pumpkin Show 2013. This three-day family fall festival is slated for October 11th to the 13th from 4pm to 9pm on Friday, and 10am to 7pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The Salem County Fairground, 735 Rte. 40 (Harding Hwy) Woodstown, New Jersey will host Pumpkin Show 2013. The fairground will be transformed into colorful displays of mums, painted pumpkins, fall decorations and over fifty handcrafted scarecrows.
The Pumpkin Show festival will showcase local artists and craftsmen, live entertainment, professional home show companies, wine sampling and food galore. Shop from over 125 craftsmen offering fall wreaths, baskets, quilts, pottery, jewelry, glassware, wood working and more.
Stop by the Home Expo and talk to the professionals about all your fall and winter home improvement projects. Companies representing, windows & doors, sheds, RV’s, automobiles, decking, kitchens, banking, landscaping, security, Home Party Plans, lawn services, guttering, basement and remodeling will be on hand .
Pumpkin enthusiast--WE HAVE IT ALL! This tenth annual event will showcase on opening night the lighting of the giant pumpkin pyramid. Sit by the pyramid for storytelling and watch for the arrival of the headless horsemen. The Pumpkin Show will have pumpkin pies, fudge, cookies, scarecrows, dolls, to pumpkin wreaths. The ever popular Pumpkin Dessert Baking Contest is back with more Longaberger Baskets and gifts for winners. Little Miss Pumpkin Show Pageant, for girls’ ages four to seven years old will be held on Sunday at 2:00pm.
The Pumpkin Show will feature All Breed Fun Dog Show, boo barn for kids, free craft making, hayrides, Children’s Amusement Rides, Horse Show, and decorated baby strollers on parade. The South Jersey Pumpkin Show was picked by CBS of New York as one of the best fall festivals in New Jersey. Come see for yourself why thousands of families show up year after year.
Kathy and Beau Wright of Millville, organizers, promise to keep the festival affordable, safe and packed full of family entertainment. Festival goers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and blankets, spend the weekend listening to free flowing and vibrant sounds of Dixieland, Bluegrass, Folk, and Country music from live bands scheduled to perform at this year’s Pumpkin Show.
